    is perhaps the biggest event in Tuscaloosa and has been a mainstay for nearly 50 years. The parade takes place on December 9th every year and brings participants and visitors from all across Alabama. Floats, marching bands, horses, and decorated vehicles will all be there. The parade line-up begins at 4:00 p.m., with official tree-lighting at 5:15 p.m. and the parade starting at 6:30 sharp.

Showing evenings in the second week of December, it serves as the centerpiece of a Christmas theater season that includes "An Irish Christmas" and a variety of other events, all happening when the historic Bama is decked out with great lights and decorations.
